Born Claudio Wonder Magis (Májis) Gatugbe to Emmanuel Kwame Archie Magis Gatugbe an English Lecturer and Professor, a Musician who played Guitar for Fela Anikulapo Kuti in the 1980’s (stage name Kwame) & Comfort Aba Nyankah (Ogoe) A Dispensing Technician HND, Singer (Fela’s Band) and Caterer .
Claudio’s love for Movies and the Arts stemmed from Running from home to the local cinema to see films like Casablanca, Rambo, Commando, The Good Fellas and Marlon Brando’s Godfather, he would always play Tony Montana in School Talent Shows, and joined the schools drama Club (University Primary & JHS Cape Coast).
He attended St. Augustine’s College wher he read General Arts with German and Literature, joining the school’s Drama Club and featuring in various Stage plays.
Claudio then went to FC Beauty College and obtained a Diploma In Cosmetology. He has lectured in Beauty Therapy at Kumasi Technical University (Institute of Technology – 2015-2017.
He made his debut in Home Sweet Home, and honed his craft in Accra Medic, Inspector Bediako, Books & Rhymes, Amoanimaa’s Era, Nana Akoto, House of Klu, Last Stop, Omo Ghana – Man must chop, Hero’s Ride and has several commercial advertisements to his credit.
A method actor, stunt and makeup artist with skills in video editing, music score composition and cinematography, he merges his acumen into his character building.
